Plated pieces are composed of a layer of gold or silver bonded over brass or 925 sterling silver.

It is normal for the plating to fade over time. How fast the plating fades depends on many different factors such as your skin's acidity, how often you wear the piece, and the activities you do while wearing the piece.

High quality gold plated brass jewelry will last a long time with proper care. It's a matter of keeping it away from the elements salt, water, sweat, and high humidity and also chemicals from cleaners or perfumes. 

Sterling silver or brass may tarnish when it comes into contact with oxygen or sulfur.

While not wearing your jewellery, you can store it in a zip lock plastic bag, an air-tight pouch or a jewellery box.
If needed, the best way to clean it is with a jewellery polishing cloth.

Please DO NOT wear it in the shower, hot tub, chlorine pool, spa, or the beach.
